Q. Do I have to provide a copy of my certificates prior to purchasing cover?

A. No, you would only have to provide a copy if you were to make a claim.

Place of Work

Q. I instruct clients outside of a gym, will I be covered for this?

A. Yes, as long as you are qualified, your policy with us covers you to instruct anywhere in the U.K., be it in the gym, client’s home or public areas.

Benefits of Cover

Q. What does the policy cover me for?

A. This policy will provide indemnity for injury or damage caused by or arising from any tuition, instruction or advice. The policy will also cover third parties and third party property damage caused by either the coach or those being taught.

This policy will also provide an advice inclusion which will cover the trainer for injury or damage caused by or arising from any tuition instruction or advice given by or on behalf of the Insured in respect of the activities contained in their business description.

Children

Q. Can you cover me for coaching or instructing children?

A. Yes, we can cover coaches who teach children. There is a specific question on the form which asks whether you coach those under 16, this will tell us whether we need to take into account the fact that you coach children into your quotation.

Individual policy

Q. Can you cover more than one coach under a policy?

A. No, these forms are intended for individuals who are self employed sports coaches.

Rugby

Q. Can you cover rugby coaches?

A. We are able to cover tag and touch rugby coaches only.

Medical Questionnaires

Q. Can you advise me about the medical questionnaires I am meant to give to my clients?

A. Typically we would expect personal trainers to have a pre- exercise readiness questionnaire, which they give out to all of their clients. Usually, personal trainers have been taught about this in their training. We do not have a generic form that we are able to provide, although we need you to be aware of the medical condition of all your clients.

Q. Are there any coaches/instructors that DareDirect are unable to cover?

A. Yes, we are unable to cover the following instructors/coaches of:
Abseiling, Climbing, Martial Arts, Motor Sport, Wrestling
