At SportsCover Direct we understand that snowboarding can be a very high risk activity and have developed our inurance policies with this in mind; whether you are travelling abroad, wanting protection at home or are worried about loss of earnings we can cover you.

We can even cover both standard snowboarding (downhill and off-piste) and skiing on the same policy for no extra cost and we also cover amateur competitive snowboarding.

SportsCover Direct offer two types of Snowboarding policy for individuals, who are UK or Irish residents, to participate as amateurs.

For individuals requiring sports accident protection as well as cover for a holiday SportsCover Direct offer VentureGuard.

The VentureGuard scheme provides single trip or annual cover for UK residents for holidays world-wide and can include cover for snowboarding and snowsports anywhere in the world.

VentureGuard Benefits can include:

Medical expenses following an accident whilst snowboarding or illness during a trip and includes emergency repatriation cover
Personal Liability Protection (Third party liability) in the case of damage caused to a third party or third party property whilst riding during a trip
Cancellation cover for any costs due to cancellation or delay
Baggage cover and a sum towards snowboard cover

If you have existing travel cover with another insurer but it does not include cover for snowboarding or snowsports, we can provide cover for your trip under our "Activity TopUp" policy.

For individuals requiring personal accident insurance SportsCover Direct offer SportsGuard.

SportsGuard, is a scheme that an increasing number of snowboarders use to gain personal accident and sports injury protection to insure against the financial effects of a sports injury sustained whilst snowboarding in the UK. The policy is valid worldwide but is NOT a travel insurance (which can be covered on our VentureGuard travel cover).

The SportsGuard scheme is an annual policy offering 24 hour worldwide sports accident cover whilst snowboarding.

SportsGuard Benefits can include:

Physiotherapy cover
Loss of Earnings cover if unable to work due to accident resulting in bodily injury whilst snowboarding
Personal Liability Protection in the case of damage caused to a third party whilst snowboarding
Legal expenses in event of liability action caused to another whilst snowboarding
Personal Accident Benefits if injured whilst snowboarding
Rehabilitation cover following accident during snowboarding resulting in bodily injury
Cover for all snowsport activities and cover for all other sports in groups 2 and 1

Whilst you cannot insure against the likelihood of physical injury whilst snowboarding - you can insure against the financial harm that follows temporary or permanent physical disablement from a snowboard related injury.
